Over nine years at The Legal Aid Society in Brooklyn, New York, Adam represented thousands of indigent misdemeanor and felony criminal defendants at all stages of state criminal trial proceedings, including surrenders, lineups, arraignments, investigations, Grand Jury presentations, plea negotiations, competency exams, school suspension hearings, DWI refusal hearings, property seizure hearings, suppression hearings, jury and bench trials, sentencings, and probation violations.

Adam practices a holistic model of criminal defense, seeking not only a resolution of a client's immediate criminal charge, but seeking to address the entire situation that has led to arrest and prosecution. This includes coordination with social workers, investigators, and immigration and other civil practitioners.
