Adam first became involved in civil rights litigation at the 2000 Republican National Convention, observing and protecting the rights of protestors. Since then, he has continued his involvement with organizations such as the ACLU of Pennsylvania, Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid, the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland, the New York State Defenders Association Immigrant Defense Project, Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem, MoveOn, and more. He is a member of the Ohio chapter of the National Lawyers Guild.
